Imperial Motor Yachts are fully aware that when it comes to purchasing a new boat many prospective owners do not want to ‘tie-up’ large amounts of liquid capital all at once.

One of the most sensible solutions, for a number of reasons, is to purchase the vessel using finance provided by a reputable and experienced lender, by way of a legal marine mortgage.

In addition to helping you achieve a smooth provision of finance, Barclays knowledge of areas such as yacht registration, yacht structuring, equity release and achieving correct title will be made available to you.

Barclays can lend up to any amount from £25,001, subject to the loan not exceeding 80% (LTV) of the valuation of the yacht. For yachts kept outside of the UK a maximum 70% Loan to Value will apply.

Typically the loan term is 10 years, but a number of alternative options are available. Early repayments in full or periodic lump sums can be made at any time, without penalty.  

Marine finance can be provided in sterling, dollars, euros and other major currencies*. Customers do not have to be UK citizens to take advantage of our products and services.
